For the health and safety of all animals on board and to support our mission of reducing animal over-population, please pay close attention to the following transport requirements.

INTERSTATE HEALTH CERTIFICATE:
Regardless of each state's requirements or “good for” date listed on the form, ALL Interstate Health Certificates MUST BE DATED WITHIN 10 DAYS from the delivery date. This is REQUIRED BY LAW with the USDA. The receiver/adopter HOME ADDRESS must be included on the Interstate Health Certificate.Please make sure the ANIMALS NAME is also INCLUDED on the Interstate Health Certificate. 

SPAYED / NEUTERED:
ALL ANIMALS must be spayed or neutered REGARDLESS OF AGE. Stitches must be removed before transport for the comfort and safety of the animal. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this requirement. 

14 DAY QUARANTINE: Every animal has to have been away from the shelter/pound/animal control for A MINIMUM OF 14 DAYS. This means, for a minimum of 14 days prior to transport, the animal has been kept in a foster home, Veterinarians' office, or boarding facility. 

AGE:
Animals must be AT LEAST 10 WEEKS OLD to travel with us. 

VACCINATIONS and TESTS:
Every animal MUST BE up to date on vaccinations. A COPY OF ALL MEDICAL RECORDS must accompany the animal on transport. DOGS/PUPPIES: DA2PPv aka DHPPv aka “5 in 1 Shot” (Canine Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus Vaccine (MLV) -OR- DA2PPvL aka “7 in 1 Shot” (Includes the Leptospira Bacterin Vaccine) --- REQUIRED for Maine --- minimum of 2 Shots are REQUIRED if under 6 Months --- vaccinations should be 2-3 weeks apart and the last shot needs to be no less than 10 days prior to transport. --- 1 Shot is REQUIRED for Adults annually CATS/KITTENS: FVRCP and FeLV(Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia and Feline leukemia virus) --- minimum of 2 Shots are REQUIRED if under 6 Months --- vaccinations should be 2-3 weeks apart and the last shot needs to be no less than 10 days prior to transport. --- 1 Shot is REQUIRED for Adults annually Bordetella (Kennel cough vaccine) ---Must be given within the last 5 months and no less than 7 days prior to transport. Rabies --- required for all animals 3 Months or Older Negative Fecal --- NEG/NPS results for Worms, Coccidia and Giardia Negative for Heartworms --- must have a NEG test result for animals 6 Months or Older Flea/Tick Preventative --- All animals must be Flea and Tick FREE 

ID:
ALL ANIMALS need to be wearing a collar with their name and contact phone number. 

MEDICATION:
WE CANNOT TRANSPORT YOUR ANIMAL IF TAKING ANTIBIOTIC MEDS (Cephalexin, Doxycycline, Albon, Baytril, etc) or has Upper-Respiratory Infection, Kennel Cough, Coccidia, Giardia, Ringworms, Sarcoptic Mange or any other contagious conditions. 

IMPORTANT FOR TRANSPORT PAPERWORK: All paperwork is reviewed and scanned for Mighty Mutt Shipping LLC records. PLEASE DO NOT staple, tape, or seal the envelope or paperwork.
